Chapter 8

The Tulsa Classic Thunderbird Club

The Tulsa Classic Thunderbird Club (TCTC), established in 1964 and officially chartered in 1965, defies its name by having members from as far as Amarillo, Texas, to Northwest Arkansas. Since its inception, the club has been an active member of the CTCI organization. Notably, we were one of the nine chapters to receive its charter at the original issuance of charters at the Estes National Park convention in 1965.

The club has hosted both regional in 2009 and international conventions in 1968 and 1992, and many of its members have served as judges for various events.

TCTC is dedicated to preserving and enjoying all two-seat Ford Thunderbirds, regardless of their age. Whether you own a classic 1955 through 1957 model or a 2002 through 2005 model, the club has the expertise to help you maintain and enjoy your vehicle.

The club now boasts a total membership of 47 families, comprising 75 individuals. Among them, we have an impressive collection of classic Thunderbirds, including 35 vintage models. These models include eight 1955s, nine 1956s, and eighteen 1957s. Additionally, we have a diverse range of retro Thunderbirds, featuring nine 2002s, six 2003s, eight 2004s, and four 2005s. Notably, out of our 47 memberships, 44 are also CTCI members.

We are an incredibly active club and would be delighted to have you join us. Our weekly breakfast meeting is held on Saturdays at 8:30 AM at the Apple Barrel Café, located at 9701 E 61st St, Tulsa, OK 74133.
