Chapter 7

Earlybirds of Southern California

The Earlybirds of Southern California is an organization of adult men and women who love 1955, 1956, and 1957 Ford Thunderbirds, and who are interested in their preservation and restoration. We welcome all 1955-57 Thunderbirds, whether restored original, modified or unrestored drivers.

We get together each month on the third Saturday evening for “hood popping” social hour, dinner, and meeting. The meetings are held in the greater Los Angeles area.

On the fourth Sunday of each month, we hold a driving activity which may be a tour, rallye, or “funkhana” — or possibly a joint activity with another Thunderbird chapter from a local area. We host annual events, such as the Pageant of the Thunderbird and plan special events to encourage family togetherness and the sharing of ideas.

The advantages of membership are, expert technical advice and assistance, help in obtaining scarce parts, association with other T-Bird enthusiasts, monthly newsletter “BirdCalls”, and a new member packet.

Any admirer of a 1955, 1956, or 1957 Ford Thunderbird may apply for membership. Note: Concurrent membership in our parent organization C.T.C.I. is mandatory for membership acceptance.
