Chapter 6

Colorado Classic Thunderbird Club

The Colorado Classic Thunderbird Club was founded in 1965 and became a charter member of the Classic Thunderbird Club International that same year.

Our mission is to preserve and enjoy 1955, 1956, and 1957 Thunderbirds, a car that is an important part of American Automobile history. Our club members get together to exchange technical information and advice, parts and camaraderie. Many life-long friendships have been formed by members of our club.

We welcome new members to our club whether you own a Little Bird, or just have a love and appreciation for them. We have Thunderbirds in our club that are show cars and weekend cruisers alike. If you have just purchased a Little Bird, joining our club is a great way to get started to learn the ins and outs of making your dream car a reliable driver.

We have monthly club meetings and other get togethers throughout the year. A monthly newsletter will keep you apprised of the activities of the club. This is a very active club, so you will have ample opportunity to get involved.

There is a one time initiation fee of $15.00 and our annual dues are $35.00. Please make your $50.00 check payable to The Colorado Classic Thunderbird Club and send it along with your name, year of your Bird and contact information to our membership chairman, Brad Schall at 11012 State Highway 85, Littleton, CO 80125. If you prefer, contact Brad at (303) 809-0542.
